Sam’s Chowder House

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach. – Henry Beston
Hope those that were able to take Labor day off was able to enjoy it to the fullest. Today, the week begins for many. The new Bay Bridge is back in action (eastern span replacement of the San Francisco- Oakland Bay Bridge) and lunch time is a great time to share with others.
Sam’s Chowder House opened in October of 2006 and it was also featured on NBC-TV’s The TODAY Show for Sam’s famous Lobster Rolls, selected by the Food Editor as one of the five “Best Sandwiches in America”.
Nestled on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Half Moon Bay, Sam’s offers stunning sunsets, true oceanfront outdoor dining.
It’s always a treat to enjoy a lobster roll and watch the sunset here. This is a great place to take date or gather with friends. Food is fresh and staff is friendly. Just remember to use opentable.com to rsvp in advance and come 30 minutes early to look for parking since it gets easily crowded and the road is one way in each direction. So plan ahead to enjoy with leisure and imbue with tranquility.
