Celebrating Life – Mom’s Tofu House
The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness. – Dalai Lama
This morning, I had woken up early from a deep slumber to find out that my mother-in-law had passed away during her sleep. I am so thankful to have had her love me as her own daughter. Her wisdom, strength, love and kindness will forever be in my heart. Mom, we miss you.
This post is dedicated to celebrating life. What better way to announce that than heading over to Mom’s Tofu House, a humble place located in South San Francisco.
Offerings include a variety of tofu soup (soondubu), cook to order bbq meats such as kalbi/bulgogi, fried chicken and an accouterments of ban chan (side dishes) bar-style for your enjoyment.
Today, we were also blessed to dine with one of my brother-in-laws who happened to be in the area from out-of-town. It really helped that we were together in sharing a meal since it is a rarity. Sometimes it isn’t about where you eat but who you eat with.
Let’s gather together to embrace life and enjoy a meal with family and friends. Thank you to our friends for sending all the love and kind thoughts our way!
Eat and be well!
